MediaCell Mobile Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. It allows you to convert video files to either MP4 or 3GP files, which are usually playable on mobile devices. The application uses conversion profiles to help you optimize the conversion process for specific devices. There is a drop-down list with all the devices supported by this converter. For example, you can select an Apple iPhone, Apple iPod, Sony PSP, Palm T3, a few Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, and Sony phones, etc. Whenever you change the device, a photo of it will appear on the screen.
In terms of design, the user interface for this converter isn't really the best I have seen. I think it uses HTML to build it, and, in fact, two script errors popped-up while I was testing this tool.
In terms of performance, MediaCell Mobile Video Converter seemed not to be able to convert the two files that I tested it with. I always use the same files for every video converter, so I am sure they were not the problem. When I clicked on "Convert" all I got was a message saying "Encoding" and no progress status or anything like that. The files that I tried shouldn't have taken longer than a minute, yet I gave the app 10 minutes to see if it was just being lazy.
